Hyderabad police in Telangana have completed their investigation into the stampede at the Sandhya 70mm theater. On December 24, the police filed a charge sheet in court against 23 people, including film actor Allu Arjun, the theater owners, and eight bouncers.
The police have declared all of them guilty in their charge sheet. The court will now hear the case and deliver its verdict. Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said on Saturday that the investigation into the stampede at the Sandhya 70mm theater during the premiere of Pushpa 2, in which a woman died, has been completed.
The charge sheet has been filed in court. The CP said that a charge sheet has been filed against 23 people in this case. Of these, 14 were arrested, while nine accused, who had obtained anticipatory bail, were given notices as per procedure.
The CP said that film actor Allu Arjun, his manager, personal security guards, and representatives of his fan association, along with the theater partners, staff, event organizers, and bouncers, have also been named in the charge sheet.
The investigating officer has provided separate details about each of the accused in the charge sheet, including what they were doing at the time of the incident and where they went afterward. All these details have been explained in detail.
Last year, Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2’ was released. A screening of the film was held on December 4 at the Sandhya theater in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad. Actor Allu Arjun was also expected to attend.
A large crowd of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite actor. The crowd became so uncontrollable that a stampede ensued. In this accident, a 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her 8-year-old son was injured. Following this incident, Allu Arjun was also briefly jailed for a day.
