Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has put forth that eight terrorist training bases are still at large across the border and the Indian Army is at it to track every move. He said should any of these groups cross the line to provoke, India will not hesitate to respond with full force once again.
Also reported that out of a total of eight terrorist training bases which are still operational, two are along the International Border and six near the Line of Control (LoC).
From input received by intelligence agencies the Army is constantly watchful of these bases. Also that each of these camps is said to house between 100 150 terrorists.
The military movements carried out during the period of heightened tension have now been pulled back to designated locations. General Dwivedi stated clear that any movement or aggressive action from such terror hideouts will invite a fresh response from the Indian Army.
He stated that Operation Sindoor is still underway, and the forces continue to remain at a high state of readiness. He also stated that after Operation Sindoor, a meeting at the DGMO level took place, after which it was agreed that both sides would scale down forward troop deployment.
The military movements during heightened tensions have now been reverted to designated positions.
The Army Chief clarified that there was no discussion on nuclear weapons during the DGMO talks. He said that statements related to nuclear issues came from political leaders or public platforms, and no such message was conveyed by the armed forces.
General Dwivedi also stated that for the first time, India carried out an operation against Pakistan by utilizing capabilities that lie between conventional and nuclear warfare. This, he said, has made it clear that India is capable of responding decisively at every level.
