Arrest warrant issued against Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif in his own country. According to reports, the warrant issued by the exiled government of Balochistan, a region under Pakistani control. Sharif is accused of violating Balochistan’s visa regulations, and it is being suggested that he could be arrested.
The Pakistani Prime Minister is also accused of seriously and deliberately undermining the sovereignty of Balochistan. The announcement of this arrest warrant against PM Shehbaz Sharif was made by Mir Yar Baloch. He posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the Republic of Balochistan has issued an arrest warrant against the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, for violating Balochistan’s visa regulations.
Mir Yar Baloch further wrote, “According to the order issued on January 8, 2026, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is subject to arrest by the Republic of Balochistan for serious and deliberate violations of Balochistan’s sovereignty, including illegal entry without a valid visa. According to the laws and sovereign rights of the Republic of Balochistan, such an arrest can be made at any airport in Balochistan upon arrival or at the point of departure.”
